The 100m Club

The rise of social media as a means to connect, share and engage has fuelled the globalisation of sport we see today, where the biggest leagues now command audiences in excess of 100m across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

In this report, launched February 2021, we identified which leagues can claim to be a member of “The 100m Club”, how this social strength is distributed across the competitions and what the balance of power says in terms of their future commercial development.
