Horizm expand commercial team with senior hires from Nielsen and Nike


Following a year of significant business growth, Horizm have today confirmed the addition of two senior members to their commercial team with Steve Loader joining from Nielsen Sports to head up digital brand partnerships and José Albuquerque joining from Nike as an Account Manager.

With over a decade’s experience working in digital media, Steve Loader has a strong background in digital sponsorship analytics in sports following stints with Gum Gum and more recently as Business Development Director at Nielsen Sports, where his role was focused on UK brands within the sports industry, using a wide range of solutions to solve brand challenges. The addition is part of a series of hires dedicated to expanding Horizm Marketplace and Steve will be responsible for helping brands secure access sports fans through the unique, AI powered,  digital sports inventory platform.  

José Albuquerque joins Horizm after 14 years working for Nike where he was responsible for account management across the brands football, basketball and tennis categories in the Iberian market. José will help manage Horizm’s expanding client base across 11 sports and 15 countries and joins a commercial team that also recently welcomed Luis Valero as a Commercial Executive.

In addition to new clients such as New Zealand Cricket, Borussia Dortmund and professional golfer Matt Fitzpatrick, the past six months have seen Horizm welcome new senior additions to the product team as well as announce an advisory board that includes industry luminaries such as Irina Pavlova, Ricardo Fort, Craig Thompson and Petr Zhukov.
