Santos is one of the most successful and most famous clubs in the Brazil winning Brasileirão, the national championship on eight occasions. It has also won 22 Paulistãos, the Sao Paulo state championship in which it competes, and three Copa Libertadores. Over the years Santos has produced some of the most famous footballers of all time, most notably Pele and more recently Neymar.
